Ms. Kevie Lusby
Ms. Kevie Lusby (Chief Executive Officer) earned her Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University and her Master of Science from Saint Joseph’s University. Ms. Lusby has mentored youth for over 20 years through Big Brother Big Sister, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, TARGET Area Development Corporation, Chicago Public School, Philadelphia School District and various Youth Ministries. She has been involved in several philanthropic initiatives throughout the United States and South Africa. She serves
as a board member for several Chicago-area organizations as well as Springfield, Illinois. Ms. Lusby has dedicated her life to public service.

Dr. Gertha Lusby
Dr. Gertha Lusby (Chief Operation Officer) earned her Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal Communication from Trinity University, a Master of Arts in Media Communication from Governors State University and Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Change from Walden University. Dr. Lusby is a strong proponent for education. She is a member of the nonprofit organization TARGET Area Development Corporation and has been an advocate for social change for over 40 years. She has produced a documentary on three African-American men in the Illinois criminal justice system and the challenges and injustices they face upon release. Dr. Lusby is committed to promoting policies that give formerly incarcerated African-American men a second chance in society. She is affiliated with several non-profit organizations who work with legislators in passing bills for ex-offenders and developing individuals, as well as families, to strengthen them in their communities. As a retired Supervisor for the Chicago Transit Authority she has a passion to improve communities and individual lives throughout urban cities.

Mr. Terry Lusby Jr.
Mr. Terry Lusby Jr. (Executive Director) is a graduate of Western Illinois University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. Mr. Lusby currently serves as the Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. His dedication to the community extends far past his career; he also continues to oversee various faith-based and community initiatives to support the effective development of community partnerships. By volunteering his skills, experience, and expertise, he has effected change within the community. Mr. Lusby has been advocating for community development for 15 years. He is actively involved within his community and volunteers at the New Harvest Assembly Church, youth programs, various food drives and neighborhood cleanups. Mr. Lusby was appointed as the Plan Commissioner for the City of Park Forest, Illinois and has served for the past 6 years.
Ms. Rosa Weatherly
Ms. Rosa Weatherly (Board Member) is currently an Executive Team Leader-Operations at Target Corporation. For over 10 years she has held various managerial positions within the company and has developed leaders and created an environment where everyone can thrive. She has a passion for giving back and helping her community. Ms. Weatherly is actively involved in community development and is dedicated to volunteering at Chicago Cares, several educational institutes, food depositories and youth centers throughout the Chicagoland area. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Western Illinois University and is currently pursuing a MBA in Human Resources from Roosevelt University. Ms. Weatherly brings her leadership, vision and creative input to Bryant Shalom.
Ms. Sheila York, Esq.
Ms. Sheila York, Esq. (Board Member) earned her B.A. in Education from Southern Illinois
University Carbondale and her J.D from Northern Illinois University. Ms. York is a longtime resident of the Chicago’s West Side community. Ms. York is an enthusiast about the betterment of our youth and creating or changing laws that benefit youth. Ms. York has participated inmentorship programs since 2002, where she mentors troubled youth from t he Austin community. Ms. York’s dedication to public service is also reflected in her involvement with various not for profit community-based organizations. She currently serves as a board member for Lawrence Hall, a community-based service agency which embraces at-risk youth and their families. Ms. York is a Cook County prosecutor, presently assigned to the Felony Trial Division.
Dr. Safiya McNeese, LT,
LT Safiya McNeese, M.D. (Board Member) is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician currently stationed at USNH Okinawa. She trained at SIU Center for Family Medicine, where she specialized in Women’s Health and was Chief resident. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from University of Illinois at Springfield and a Doctorate of Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of
Medicine.
Her biggest joy is being a mother of two young adults and future leaders, Zakiya
Evora and Vincent Wesley Elijah Hill. She desires to inspire her community to
live healthier lives. She believes that she personifies perseverance. She hopes to
be a role model and champion for all women. She aspires to live out God’s daily
assignments for her in a way that will make Him smile.
